I walked through the halls, when one door caught my eye. "Music Room," it read.
"Music Room? I like the sound of that!"
I walked into the music room, and saw the electric guitars. I ran over to one, a blue one.
"I love you. You're mine now."
I flipped the amp on to standby, and turned the treble knob all the way up, as well as the volume. I looked down at the strings, and placed my fingers in the fifth fret position. I played a few chords, an A Major and an E-5, both of which sounded good. The strings needed a little tuning, so I went to work.
A few moments later I had finished tuning the guitar to my liking and this time decided to go with the first fret position, because lower notes can sound a lot better in a rock song. I played an A Major chord and an E-5 chord as well.
"Sounds good." I said.
I dug through my mind, thinking of a song I could play, specifically Local H, one of my favorite bands ever. I picked a song, my favorite, Bound for the Floor. It's one of Local H's best.
By the time I was ready to play, no one else had walked in the room. I reached out to see if someone else was in the vicinity to play drums, because what is a rock band without drums?
When I reached out, I sensed a couple of people. They probably heard my chords, or they were just walking by. Local H had had two people in their band, so why not mine?
"Anyone else want to join me in a band?" I shouted out, hoping someone would respond.

Kari walked through the halls of the Academy, marveling at the springtime air with a huge smile on her face. It was so warm here, and she absolutely loved it!

A wave of sound hit Kari's ears as she walked by the band room, which Kari was not surprised by. But amidst all of the off-tune playing, Kari heard a melodic tune being strummed on what was most likely a guitar. Kari was drawn to it, so she veered off of her course and strolled into the loud music room. She watched for the player of the sound, straining her eyes as she watched all of the musical people who were attempting to show off their talent.

And then she saw. A man was focusing on his blue guitar, playing the little ditty that had caught Kari's attention. She smiled and began to walk over to him, only pausing for a moment when he asked if anyone wanted to make a band with him. Kari walked up to him and stood timidly.

"I can sing."

"I can sing." said the girl who had just walked into the music room.
She was shorter than me by about two or three inches. she had long red hair, and seemed to like music, otherwise she wouldn't have come. Even though there were about five people outside, she had been the one to walk in.
"I'm usually the one that sings, but if you want to sing, sing." I said, waiting for the girl to respond.
"I haven't even asked your name yet. Mine's Kazamir."

So he could sing? That would be even better than Kari had originally hoped. "How about we both sing?" She suggested, "Harmonies are like a double whammy." She walked over to a shelf and picked up a small lyre, her face lighting up once she realized it had been made in a town not far from her own. She strummed it methodically, closing her eyes as she listened to its soft tune.

Kazamir was his name. He was like her. Kari turned around and sat down beside him, a smile spreading across her face.

"Kari...Kari Ljunborg."

"How about we both sing? Harmonies are like a double whammy." The girl said.
"I forgot to ask your name. Mine's Kazamir." I said.
The girl's face lit up as she sat beside me. She smiled and said,
"Kari...Kari Ljunborg." She said with a lovely expression on her face. She was beautiful.
"So you're Swedish, too? I'm from the Czech Republic, but my last name is Swedish. It's Sundqvist. Kazamir is Czech, as well as my middle name, Pesek." I said, hoping that nothing would tick her off.
"So," I began, "you like Local H? They have some awesome songs."

Another Swede. That was nice. Kari breathed a sigh of relief and scooted in a little closer to Kazimir, her eyes swooping over him. He was built, so he probably had some sort of fun pastime. Or he just had illusion powers. Hanging around with other magicians could be quite tiring since so many people changed their appearance.

"I have no idea what this Local H is," Kari said, a confused look dawning on her face. "I like indie rock," she finished.

"Well you're in luck. They are a classic and indie rock group. I was just playing Local H when you walked in." I looked into her eyes. Blue-green.
"What do you like to do in your spare time?"

So Local H was what he was playing? Well, it sure wasn't awful. Kari smiled, looking back up into Kazimir's eyes when he asked her about her hobbies. There were so many things. Kari normally liked to hone her fighting skills, but between practicing her magic and making friends with everyone, Kari had no time.

So Kari said what made the most sense to her for this moment. "I like to fight but it seems that I never can these days."

I shrugged. "That's cool. I play hockey. Defenseman, to be precise." I meant it, this Kari was beautiful, so I tried to make the most of the moment and keep her around as long as I could.
"Were we going to have a harmony or what?" I asked.

A harmony, of course! Kari had almost forgotten. She leaned back and took another look at Kazimir. She could tell he was a hockey player, and maybe since he played defense, he would enjoy helping her fight. Kari missed it too much.

Kari closed her eyes and began to hum a little ditty, then paused, hoping Kazimir remembered the tune of it. He would sing the melody and she would sing the higher harmony. It worked perfectly.

The harmony was beautiful as I took the melody and Kari took the higher harmony.

As we were finishing, I asked Kari,
"So, maybe you'd like to go out for some coffee sometime. I have to leave for a hockey game in the next couple of minutes, so why don't we meet up in the commons?"

Kari smiled at Kazimir, her smile widening even more when he asked to go to coffee at some point. Here she was, pretty new here and already making friends! And she couldn't help but think that Kazimir was pretty attractive.

She nodded, her hair bouncing with her head. "Coffee sounds wonderful...I hope your game goes well." Kari stood up, setting her lyre down on the ground. "I guess I'll see you around."

"I hope your game goes well. I guess I'll see you around." Kari said.
"Yeah, same." I turned and thought, why put the guitar down? Just take it with you. It's not like you're selling it or anything. I turned and walked out of the music room, holding the guitar and connecting with the stand it was on to pull it to me. I walked out of the room, put my new guitar and stand down in my dorm, then walked to my car.
